My wife and I kept a baby time capsule for our daughter during her most memorable time, the first year. We collected various objects while my wife was pregnant and others were collected throughout the first twelve months after her birth. Items that held such value and importance back then were placed in the time capsule to preserve their significance. How could these things be forgotten so easily?

After experiencing how easy it was to forget about the items that we saved, we came up with a great idea and decided to take the process one step further. Not only do we have our daughter’s time capsule from her first year, but we also added some special notes to each object to make each memory more meaningful. That way you can be sure you won’t forget any details about the items you choose to keep.

One of the most overlooked reasons for keeping a time capsule is that it’s also a great way to share the memories of our daughter’s first year after she is married and ready to start her own family. We thought it would be neat to save her capsule to open when she has her first child. It will be the perfect thing to share during her baby shower.

I can’t think of anything that brought my wife and I more happiness than having our daughter. Creating the time capsule has been an absolute joy for our entire family. That’s why we eventually plan on sharing the same special moments we captured over time with her. It’s so easy to get caught up in daily life so don’t forget to take a few moments to save the most important items of you child’s life.
